This black stretch velvet dress with red, purple, and silver glitter is a perfect dress for a cocktail party or night out around town. Cut in a flattering silhouette with long sleeves, and a low scoop back, this dress is comfortable and classy. Features three silkscreened silver foil triangles on both sleeves.

Filming was a lot of fun, and I helped style the girls for the shoot.  I’ve been friends with the guys in Claire Hux for a while now and love working with them!

Feather aftermath!!

My costume was less involved.  I just got some flashy plastic jewelry at the dollar store and a wig.

I wore the acid bubble spandex dress from NP’s summer 2010 line.

Then we went to a 3rd Ward party in Bushwick, check out a recap of the event HERE.

One of my friends was the flight attendant from Chungking Express, and another was the death of written media.

We had all three lines out for sale.

We got a bubble machine for the booth, which little kids really enjoyed.

The reworked vintage skirts, selling for ONLY $24 were a hit!

Fellow designer Virginia, of Deda & Young, stopped by to say hi.  She was a tad taller than we remembered.

The website looks awesome, the clothes look great and everyone donning it looks hot.

There were performances by Lazerbitch, Hounds, in every room, DJ Lemz, and Molly Siegel (of Ponytail). The Effervescent Collective incorporated their dancing to the acts and was able to add to the already great performances.

There was also art by Ann Everton, James Singewald, Karen Yasinsky, Cyle Metzger and Matthew Shelley.

We all had so much fun and we have plans to work with these artists in the very near future! Stay tuned!

What are we talking about exactly? Just some blog-action on the part of Paulette Wilson, a senior Journalism major at Towson University, who was commissioned by a class at Towson to create a specific blog outlining and defining the Baltimore fashion scene: The companies, designers, and stores that comprise of the pulse of Baltimore’s very living and breathing iconoclastic fashion entity. Paulette selected Natty Paint as a very important Baltimore fashion force to be reckoned with! (Alongside the creator of Baltimore Fashion Week April Camlin)

Thus she will interview Natty Paint’s very own Emily Li Mandri in her attempt to define “Baltimore’s fashion scene through asking real experts around town”–and later write up her lovely blog- Ms. Charm’s Chic.
